LUCKNOW: Choosing not to comment on Vishwa Hindu Parishad's 84-Kosi yatra, chief minister Akhilesh Yadav chose instead to speak about developments his government had brought in over past one and a half years, addressing a public gathering at the inaugural ceremony of the Daliganj railway over bridge. He made but only a passing reference to the proposed yatra saying, "While other parties were busy holding yatras, SP was focusing on development work. They are least concerned about common man's needs."He asked his party workers to gear up for upcoming Lok Sabha elections so that SP emerged the ruling party at the Centre too.Daliganj ROB has been a pressing need in the area for the last 8-10 years due to frequent traffic jams at the crossing.Locals of Triveninagar, including school children and women, had to face a lot of problems while moving from Sitapur Road towards the IT Chouraha. The ROB would help reduce traffic pressure on Niralanagar road.

The government has opened the crossing as well as ROB for public use considering their convenience.

The location is a busy place with Sitapur highway on one side and famous Daliganj market on the other side.

The crossing is also beneficial for those coming from IT Chouraha towards Sitapur Road.

Mishra said the government had to pay double the amount to open Daliganj crossing for public use.

Former CM Narayan Dutt Tiwari was guest of honour on the occasion.

Akhilesh Yadav congratulated officials of Bridge Corporation for completing the ROB in record time of nine months at an estimated cost of around Rs 29 crore.

Sadakant, principal secretary, housing department of UP said, "In August last year, the government had launched three projects including ROBs at Daliganj, Purania and Arjunganj. He assured that the other two ROBs would be completed by this year end.
