Title - Construction Organisation of South Central Railway Celebrates Rajbhasha Saptah.

The Construction Organization of South Central Railway celebrated Rajbhasha Saptah from 23.08.2012 to 30.08.2012 and the main function was held o­n 30.08.2012 in Rail Nilayam Auditorium. During the Rajbhasha Saptah celebrations, Quiz competition and Rajbhasha Official Language meeting were held apart from the ‘Contact campaign’ in which staff of Rajbhasha section rendered necessary assistance to the employees for the usage of Hindi in their day to day works. o­n this occasion various Hindi competitions such as Essay, Elocution, Handwriting, Noting and Drafting were also organized in which a total of 63 participants took part with zeal and enthusiasm.
The main function of the Rajbhasha Saptah was presided by Shri Sukesh Kumar Sharma, Chief Administrative Officer/Construction, S.C.Railway, Secunderabad and Shri Mahesh Chandra, Mukhya Rajbhasha Adhikari and Controller of Stores, S.C.Railway, Secunderabad was the Chief Guest. Smt. Meera Sharma, Secretary, S.C.Railway, Womens Welfare Organisation, Secunderabad was the special guest of the function.
At the outset Smt. M.V.R.Anjani, Rajbhasha Adhikari / Construction welcomed the guests and the gathering and gave a brief mention about the Rajbhasha activities of the Construction organisation. After the presentation of bouquets to the honourable guests, Shri Narottam Singh Uikey, Dy.Mukya Rajbhasha Adhikari & Chief Engineer/Construction presented the Rajbhasha Report of 2011-12 of the Construction Organisation and mentioned about the various competitions, seminars etc. held during the year. He also said that construction organisation not o­nly crossed the targets set by the Home Ministry in regard to Rajbhasha but also achieved cent percent progress of the Annual Action Plan issued by H.qrs. office of S.C.Railway.
Shri Mahesh Chandra, Chief Guest of the function in his address mentioned about the importance of Hindi Divas and said that such functions are also held at Divisional and Zonal levels. He expressed his happiness over the progress made in the usage of Rajbhasha and its various activities organized from time to time in Construction Organisation.
Shri Sukesh Kumar Sharma, Chief Administrative Officer/Construction/ Secunderabad stressed o­n the usage of simple Hindi and said that complicated words should be avoided while using Hindi in Official work. He also remarked that the language should be developed with its originality and should reflect the art and culture of the region.
In the cultural programme held o­n this occasion a play “Ek Shaam Premchand ke naam” based o­n Munshi Premchand’s stories ‘Kafan’ and ‘Sadgathi’ was staged by the employees of Electrical Loco Shed/Lallaguda, S.C.Railway.All the Characters were very well portrayed by the artists which gave a natural beauty to the Drama. The Drama was well received by the audience and after the performance, the Auditorium was filled with rounds of applauses.
Awards were given to the Officers and staff doing commendable work in Hindi and for contributing towards the progress of Rajbhasha in Construction Organisation. The winners of various Hindi competitions held o­n this occasion were also awarded.
