Title - Concrete slab placed on railway track, five person got arrested

Fiver persons were arrested at Pallipalayam for placing concrete slabs on railway tracks. All these five persons were opposing the ban on Jallikattu.

56101 Mettur Dam – Erode passenger hit the concrete slab placed along Anangoor – Cauvery Rail section. The loco pilot off the train immediately applied the brakes and the passenger came to halt with no damage done. After a delay of 30 minutes train was sent for the completion of its journey.

Erode Railway Police registered a case under Section 150 (1) (a) (attempting to wreck a train by putting stone on railway track) of Indian Railways Act, 1989.

M. Ranjith Kumar (23) of Korakattupallam in Pallipalayam, along with his four friends – M.S. Senthil Kumar, M. Santhana Krishnan, K. Subramani and M. Mani were arrested.
