Title - Coin vending machines soon

Bilaspur Rail Division (BRD) has decided to install coin vending machines (CVMs) at booking offices of its three stations namely Bilaspur, Raigarh and Champa very soon to facilitate passengers looking for loose change while buying a train ticket.

Public Relation Officer, BRD Ramjilal Meena informed that the division has proposed the scheme to install CVMs at three stations and the work for installation will start.

Now passengers no more have to suffer problems of coins while buying the tickets even its will prove convenient for railway employees at the counters, he said.

PRO further said initially Railway will provide free electricity and place facility to install machine and these facilities will be resumed after three years. In the station fall in A-1 category, total four VCMs will be installed while in the stations of other category, only two machines will be installed. The concerned banks have to take care of machines. BRD has decided to give contract to State Bank of India as already SBI meeting up the coins requirement of Railway on daily basis.
