Title - Chennai Division witnessing significant increase of passengers

Between the period of 21 to 31 January 2018, there has been an increase in the number of passengers in Chennai Division. This has also resulted in increase of earnings displayed in the stats below --

Non-season Ticket Passengers stat -

  • Between January 21 to 31 in 2017 - 6,886,743 passengers purchased non-season tickets; while between January 21 and 31, 2018 - 7,393,154 passengers purchased non-season tickets.
  • Increase in number of passengers - 506,411

Earnings stat of non-seasoning tickets -

  • Between January 21 to 31, 2017 total earnings of Chennai Division was Rs. 122,960,473.
  • Between January 21 to 31, 2018 total earnings of Chennai Division wa Rs. 142,296,075.
  • Inrease in number of earnings - 19,335,602

Season tickets stats -

  • Between January 21 to 31, 2017 - 6,365,250  number of passengers bought season tickets.
  • Between January 21 to 31, 2018 - 6,989,950 numbe of passengers bought season tickets.

Earning stats from Season tickets -

  • Between 21 to 31 January, 2017 Chennai Division earned Rs. 23,218,670 
  • Between 21 to 31 January, 2018 Chennai Division earned Rs. 25,363,656
  • Increase in total earnings - Rs. 2,144,986
