Title - Change in Tatkal norms fail to end people’s woes

New Delhi: Despite change in the schedule of booking tatkal tickets, passengers across the country continue to suffer. What was amazing that people were seen standing in queue right from 4 0’clock in the morning and when counters were opened in morning, people looking to purchase general tickets were seen on the reservation counters.
But those who wanted to get their tickets confirmed purchased the same from tatkal quota was not given entry inside the reservation counters.
Brokers managed to occupy ticket counters as soon as the ticket counters were opened.
On the other, railway authorities visited the ticket counters and sought peoples’ views regarding tatkal norms. What is amazing that it took only 30-minutes time when all the counters placed ‘no seat’ available notice.
One of the passengers named Sheoram travelling to Darbhanga in Bihar said that he saw a big crowd on counter no 113  but was not permitted to stand in that queue . On the other, two persons named Sanjiv and Bittoo who could not manage to purchase a tatkal ticket said that in the beginning, railway officials kept sending people inside the counters putting a specific number on the forms but soon a big crowd assembled at the counters and started getting their tickets booked.
While talking about the success of drive of railways, Neeraj Sharma said that on the first day there were some loopholes visible in the move but he said that shortcomings will be removed in due course and people will no longer have to suffer.
