Title - Book Heritage Steam Voyage train between Mettupalayam and Coonoor in less price

Indian Railways has reduced the entire train booking tariff of the Heritage Steam Voyage summer weekend special train running between Mettupalayam and Coonoor.

To make these heritage trains more affordable for chartering, railway wants you to pay 3 lakh rupees. This price is Rs 2 lakh cheaper than what it used to earlier. 

In a committee meeting of IRCTC and Southern Railway, the decision to cut charter price from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 3 lakh was taken. These special trains can ferry 130 passengers and passengers are presented with welcome kit along with refreshments and a souvenir.

To book the entire train, you need to submit the request on IRCTC website along with necessary details like journey details, booking type etc. After submitting request , you need  pay the registration amount within six days to get an FTR number.
