Under Thiruvananthapuram rail division Cash bill or coupon for purchase of food will become compulsory from February 21. The decision has been taken to monitor hygiene and food quality served on trains as well as station premises. Apart from this telephone numbers of authorised food sellers will also be provided to pantry staff as a part of IRCTC e-catering facility, so that passengers can place their order directly. Passengers can also register their complaints on railway service number – 138 or on twitter handle of @tvc138. Complaints can also be registered through e-mail at toseniordcmtvc@gmail.com and srdcm@tvc.railnet.gov.in. Railway receive most complaints from Tirunelveli, Kayamkulam, Alappuzha, and Thrissur regions therefore special attention will be made to monitor food services strictly. Vendor will be provided name badges and ID cards and cleanliness of utensils used in pantry cars will be taken care of. |
