Title - Bhagalpur to get Rajdhani Express this year

If everything goes all right Bhagalpur may get Rajdhani Express by year end. Railway Board finance commissioner Shahjad Shah has made it clear to reporters in a VIP room at Bhagalpur Railway station.

According to him, to operate Rajdhani Express railway tracks must be compatible to hold at least 80kmph speed but currently Kahalgaon – Bhagalpur section can hardly bear 60kmph. As doubling work is going on this section, therefore expect an increase in speed once work will be over by the end of this year.

Apart from Rajdhani Express he also clarified that Vikramshila Express that runs from Bhagalpur to New Delhi will be equipped with LHB coaches this month. This will add comfort to passengers however he has not clarified about the second rake of Garibrath.
