Title - Bengaluru - Mysuru line now fully Electrified

Started back in the year 2007, the electrification and doubling work of rail lines between Bengaluru and Mysuru is now officially over. The 138.3 km stretch between the two stations was long overdue and finalization of electrification and doubling of track will reduce the travel time for commuters. The expected reduction of travel time is half hour at least. Currently, travelling by normal train takes 3 hours to complete the journey which is beside the congestion at both the railway stations.

Besides doubling of rail line, electrification of tracks  will lead to substantial saving for the railways.
