BANGALORE: Yeshwantpur, a suburban station of Bangalore, now has a Medical Center, which will treat the cases of medical emergency for free. The South Western Railways and BGS Global Hospitals launched the center on August 25, 2012.The facility will serve to help about one lakh people every day who travel to and fro by train from Yeshwantpur to Bangalore or other parts of India. This center will be manned by paramedics trained in emergency and critical care medicine round the clock. Equipped to offer first aid, conduct random blood sugar test, blood pressure check and ECG on the spot, this center will come to the rescue of railway passengers in transit. The hospital's ambulance will be available 24/7 to transport sick passengers who may require hospitalization or advanced care.The center has the convenience of connecting with super specialists of various specialities of the hospital for further advice on diagnosis and treatment. All these facilities are being offered free of cost as a corporate social responsibility initiative by BGS Global Hospitals.With more and more people travelling often, anyone can develop health problems during travel or one could meet an unfortunate accident on the platform or in the train. The center will offer the convenience of immediate health care services for all passengers especially senior citizens, pregnant women and children when faced with health problems without delay at the Railway station itself. |
