Direct night train services from Talaguppa to Bangalore through Shimoga and day services from Shimoga to Mysore, which were long pending, have been fulfilled.In a press release, MP B.Y. Raghavendra has said that the Railways has extended Bangalore-Shimoga train up to Talaguppa. To provide direct day train service from Shimoga to Mysore, Shimoga-Birur train and Birur-Mysore train have been merged, he said.Union Minister of State for Railways K.H. Muniyappa will inaugurate the extended train services at Shimoga Railway Station at 7 a.m. on September 8, Mr. Raghavendra has said.According to the new schedule, Shimoga-Mysore passenger train will leave Shimoga at 7.30 a.m. and reach Mysore at 2.20 p.m.Passengers bound for Bangalore from the region can catch the Hubli-Bangalore intercity train at Birur by boarding the Shimoga-Mysore train. The pairing train will leave Mysore at 1.15 p.m. and reach Shimoga at 7.55 p.m.Talaguppa-Bangalore passenger train will leave Talaguppa at 7.30 p.m. and reach Shimoga at 10.05 p.m. The train will leave Shimoga at 10.10 p.m. and reach Bangalore at 4.30 a.m.The pairing train will leave Bangalore at 11 p.m. and reach Shimoga at 4.40 a.m. The train will leave Shimoga at 4.45 a.m. and reach Talaguppa at 7.45 a.m. |
