Bangalore, Jun 26: Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation (BMRCL), which is making steady progress in the implementation of its ambitious Namma Metro project, will have a depot run at Peenya on Wednesday.Work on the implementation of the 1.2 km stretch from Rajajinagar to Peenya was progressing as per schedule, the Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda said.The Chief Minister spoke to reporters after reviewing the progress in the implementation of the Namma Metro project.Gowda said 89 per cent of the work on Reach II has been completed, he said. Reach II work on Mysore Road and Jayanagar would be speeded up and nearly 90 per cent of the work has been completed.Nearly 96 per cent of the viaduct in Reach III has been completed and 60 per cent of civil work on the station has been completed.All works would be completed by April, 2013, the Chief Minister said.Work was progressing well on Reach IV and the Yeshwathpur-Peenya route would be ready by April 2013, he said.Metro route between Krishnarajpet and Puttenahalli would be ready by December 2013 and the metro rail station at Majestic would be ready by April-May 2014, he added. |
