The proposed ‘rail roko’ at Bahardulki between Raruli and Liliguma stations in Andhra Pradesh along the Kirandul-Kottavalasa line has prompted the East Coast Railway to effect a change in train movement.

Apprehending disruption and passenger inconvenience, the EcoR has decided to short-terminate Bhubaneswar-Jagdalpur Hirakhand Express at Rayagada on Tuesday. The train will return from Rayagada station. The services of Hirakhand Express will be cancelled between Jagdalpur and Rayagada in both the directions.

Howrah-Koraput Express, leaving Howrah on Monday, will also be short-terminated at Rayagada on Tuesday and returned.

The train has been cancelled between Jagdalpur and Rayagada from both sides. The Rourkela-Koraput Express will be terminated at Titlagarh. There will be no movement of train between Titlagarh and Koraput.

The fate of Durg-Jagdalpur Express will be the same. It will terminate at Titlagarh and return, a Press release from ECoR said. The Visakhapatnam-Koraput-Visakhapatnam passenger will be short-terminated at Rayagada too. The Koraput-Visakhapatnam Express and Sambalpur-Koraput-Sambalpur Passenger stand cancelled due to the agitation which is being staged to demand stoppage of express trains and opening of a booking counter at Bahardulki in Koraput district.
