Ferozepur: A senior section engineer (Land and Heritage) in the DRM office here, Rakesh Kumar has been conferred the " Most Outstanding Indian Rail Engineer of the Year" award by the Indian Railway Technical Supervisors Association (IRTSA) during its 47th Annual Conference held at Rail Coach Factory (RCF), Kapurthala.Earlier, Rakesh had won accolades for publishing two books on railway land management. In these books, Rakesh had come up with brilliant proposals regarding management of railway land and on ways to generate revenue from the same.
