Title - Antyodaya trains to start from next month

With growing demand of general passengers, Railway will introduce “Antyodaya Trains”. These trains will be comprised of all general LHB coaches and will be run as superfast trains.

Equipped with mobile phone charging points, drinking water dispenser and fire extinguishers these trains will come into service from next month.

Railway has decided to run these trains fully unreserved for general class passengers. High density routes have been identified to run these trains. Antodaya coaches will also have toilet occupancy indicators provided at each end near the doorway.

Seats of its coaches will be better cushioned with LED lights in the coach. Antyodaya trains were announced in the last budget with Humsafar and Tejas trains. Service of Humsafar trains already took off and few Humsafar trains are running on a regular basis over long routes.
