Bangalore : Anirban Roy Choudhary of South Western Railway (SWR) and Maitreyee Bailoor of BTTA clinched the men’s and women’s singles titles respectively in the Ultratech State-ranking table tennis tournament here on Sunday.Anirban registered a 5-1 victory over Vaibhav Dahibate of BNM in the men’s summit clash while Maitreyee cruised to a comfortable straight-games win over Sports Authority of India’s Haripriya KS in the eve’s battle.Anirban took the opening game 12-10 before powering to a 2-0 lead after winning the second 11-7. Vaibhav hit back to take the third 11-8 but Anirban showed his nerves of steel in claiming a tightly-fought fourth 14-6. He then marched on, taking the fifth 11-7 before sealing victory by winning sixth 14-12.Shreyal Telang of BNM defeated compatriot Navneet AR 11-8, 12-10, 8-11, 11-8, 12-10 to claim the Youth boys’ title. In the Veteran singles final, Gulbarga’s Shivakumar beat BHEL EDN’s Siddaramana Gowd 11-8, 11-8, 12-10.
