Title - Action plan for improvement in passenger experience at Hazrat Nizamuddin station

Ministry of Railways has laid out an action plan in which it wants to improve passenger experience at Hazrat Nizamuddin station. This plan includes short term measures, long term measures and immediate measures. 

 
Railway ministry has asked to fulfill immediate measures to implemented in 6 months, Short term in between 6 to 12 and long term in 12 to 18 months of time.   

Here are the major points of action plan - 
  • Widening & smoothening of entry 
  • Parking for Physically challenged 
  • Complete renovation of toilet block and bathing area. 
  • Redesigning & earmarking the Lanes for Car / Bus / Taxi / TSR / pedestrians.  
  • Deploying uniformed marshals for regulation of traffic. 
  • Stainless Steel benches at all platforms. 
  • Removal of abandoned old structures. 
  • Cloak room at Platform Number 1. 
  • Retiring Rooms' renovation. 
  • RO Water plant at second entry. 
  • Lift for Passengers at Platform at number 1. 
  • Escalator on platform number 6/7. 
  • Deluxe “Pay & Use” Toilet to be provided in circulating areas. 
  • Mechanized cleaning system at station. 
  • VIP lounge on Platform number 1 
  • Staff Quarters on Okhla side to be relocated & area vacated to be utilised for parking & other facilities. 
  • Complete renovation of TTE Rest house.
