Title - AC coaches in Darjeeling toy trains

Indian Railway will soon provide tourists option of air-condition coaches on toy trains. However, tourists must be ready to shell out some good amount of money for it.

Two air - conditioned coaches has already been introduced by Darjeeling Himalayan Railways. These coaches will attached to the toy trains from next month.Trail run of these coaches was completes on Monday over Jalpaiguri - Darkjeeling route.

Sources say that on the New Jalpaiguri - Darjeeling route these AC coaches will be introduced.

DHR director said, "We have built two air-conditioned coaches for the DHR. More trials of the coaches will be conducted. Once it is confirmed that the coaches are capable of plying on the hilly tracks, then a final decision would be taken as to when they could run with passengers,”

Through introduction of AC coaches, DHR is eyeing to attract tourists in Summer season.
