Title - UP IN FLAMES :DMRC staff fights car fire, saves life

New Delhi: Quick thinking on the part of Metro officials working at a site in Krishna Nagar in east Delhi saved the lifeof a young man trappedinsidehiscar after it caught fire suddenly. The incident took place at 11.20 am on Sunday.
    Kapil was driving his Maruti Esteem from Shalimar Park to Krishna Nagar when he saw smoke coming out. But he could not come out of the vehicle as the doors would not open.
    “A person called Naveen and one of our engineers, Aditya Gupta, blocked the road and requested the public to clear out, warning that the car may explode. They used the fire extinguisher available at the site to douse the fire and, in the meantime, others broke the windows to pull Kapil out. The fire brigade also arrived soon,” said a senior DMRC official. Five fire tenders were rushed to the spot. TNN
