Title - Railway cops return lost bag to owner

The Government Railway Police brought smile on the face of P.M. Behara, professor in Konaseema Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), Amalapuram, when they handed over his lost bag to him. The Government Railway Police on Wednesday handed over the bag containing 60 grams of gold ornaments, worth about Rs.1.5 lakh and Rs.2,200 cash intact to the passenger.

Mr. Behara lost his bag while travelling in Puri-Chennai train on July 8 and alighted at Rajahmundry. He dialled the GRP Special Branch Control Room No. 9440900805. The police searched compartment at Eluru station and recovered the bag, said GRP Superintendent of Police Ch. Syam Prasad Rao.

He said passengers were requested to call the GRP SB Control Room and inform the police, if they notice theft, any danger or if any passenger was in need medical aid and the police would respond immediately.
