Khalid Qureshi, a senior ticket checker with Western Railways and highest revenue earner in his department for 6 years, has been on a walk from Mumbai to New Delhi to spread love and respect for the tricolour flag. On Wednesday, he would halt at toll plaza on NH-8 expressway, where he would be welcomed by the Gurgaon DM, Mayor and RWAs'.I Love My Tiranga' is an initiative started by Qureshi to promote the Indian flag. He decided to run from Mumbai to New Delhi, a distance of more than 1,900 km, carrying the Tiranga, to encourage, inspire and enthuse every Indian (as well as religious and educational institutions), to love the Tiranga, and proudly display it every day. One day, while discussing his achievements and trophies at home, he realized that he had everything except a Tiranga. Two years ago, Khalid initiated to popularize a the Indian national flag, which is very close to his heart. |
