Title - Trains to Mumbai delayed

Almost all Mumbai-bound trains were delayed by at least 20 to 25 minutes on Monday owing to heavy rains in Mumbai region. Railway authorities here said that no train was cancelled, however, trains reached late to destinations. Trains were delayed due to water logging on tracks after heavy downpour in Mumbai. Intercity trains that start in the morning such as Sinhagad express, Deccan Queen and Pragati express left from Pune on time, but reached CST late. Trains from Mumbai to Pune were delayed by half an hour, said officials. Meanwhile, one local train between Lonavla-Pune was delayed in the morning after a goods train was stopped near Dapodi when a cattle got stuck in the wheels of a rake at around 8.30 am, said officials.
