Title - Southern Railway introduces e-auction of scrap materials

Southern Railway Stores Department has introduced e-auction for sale of scrap materials.

The system provides a common platform for scrap purchasers all over the country to offer their bids on-line in a fair and transparent manner.

Southern Railway is selling scrap materials to the tune of Rs.350 crore per annum.

Deepak Krishan, General Manager, Southern Railway, launched the e-auction facility.

B.K. Sinha, Controller of Stores, Southern Railway and other top officials were also present.
