Title - Coach factory: land demarcation begins

The preliminary civil work of the rail coach factory at Kanjikode will start soon.As part of the work, the demarcation of 239 acres of land given to Railways by the State government to construct the factory began on Monday.According to a press release, the Palakkad Railway Divisional Manager Piyush Agarwal contacted District Collector P.M. Ali Asgar Basha to demarcate the land.The Collector deputed his survey team to identify the boundaries and demarcate the land. The survey team along with A.T. Pandiyan, Assistant Divisional Mechanical Engineer; and Manikandan, Assistant Divisional Engineer, started the work.No re-survey was demanded by Railways, the press release added.
