New Delhi, Aug 28 (Truth Dive): Once a system of having an account with the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) comes into process, the booking of railway tickets will be a bit easier and quicker than what it was earlier.

In an order to make the booking service easier for the convenience of the people, the IRCTC has determined to begin with a rolling deposit scheme (RDS), under which anybody can possibly deposit the required amount  in the account to be opened with the service provider.

The user can also obtain the tickets from the money that has been deposited by using the RDS card according to novel payment option, which the IRCTC says will have a benefit over the other modes of payment. The system would also make possible hassle-free and secured transactions, other than saving time by abolishing the payment approval sequence.

It also will shrink the user’s dependence on banks and their servers and make way for booking tickets directly through the RDS mode. Another one benefit is that there is no need for the user to pay the entry charges. The dull procedure of making the use of credit or debit cards for creating online purchases is away under the proposed scheme.

Anyone can open an account by using the PAN card and also can activate the account through a transaction password and PIN number and maintain the account online and top up the account too. The minimum deposit amount will be around the range of Rs. 1500 to 2000.

The registration charge for opening the account will be Rs 250 that can be redeemed at the time of booking tickets later.

The IRCTC is also likely to provide all possible services for the welfare of the user in order to track the transaction history and in case of any cancellation of ticket; the refund amount will be automatically deposited in the account the very next day.
