Title - Security strengthened at stations

Security has been beefed up at Howrah, Sealdah and other important stations following a nationwide alert by the Centre. While additional security personnel have been deployed, scanners have also been set up to scan passengers’ luggage.
    “Security has been enhanced after the Pune serial blasts and the alert that was sounded thereafter. We are carrying out random anti-sabotage checks at stations and trains. Close co-ordination is also being maintained between the RPF, GRP and the state police,” an SER official said.
