Title - RPF rescues two ‘runaway’ boys

Two schoolboys, who were reportedly trying to flee their homes, were rescued by the Railway Protection Force on Tuesday.

Sk. Abdul Rahim and R. Durga Narayana, both studying in Class VI at a private school in Dwarakanagar, claimed that they were picked up by some unidentified miscreants and forcibly taken away in a car to the railway station.

The boys said they were having ‘pani puri’ at a roadside stall, when they were forced into the car.

They were made to wait on platform No. 3 as their “kidnappers” went out saying they would return after the arrival of the train. The boys claimed that their abductors had even given them Rs. 1,500 to have snacks.

The RPF constables noticed the boys sitting in a corner and became suspicious.

On questioning, the boys gave evasive replies and finally said they were “kidnapped” by someone. The RPF police handed over the boys to their parents.
