Title - Railway workshop still on fire

The fire that broke out at the scrap yard of Railway Coach Repair Workshop in Mancheswar area of the City continued to rage on Friday.

The fire fighters remained engaged in putting out the flames but in vain. At least four fire tenders were pressed into the job which was unfinished till reports last came in. The railway authorities also provided logistic support to the fire officials but the blaze could not be controlled.

Last night, when the fire engulfed the yard, fire officials had to mobilise 10 fire tenders from Bhubaneswar, Khurda as well as Cuttack along with 70 fire fighters.

A spokesman of the Bhubaneswar Fire Station said the fire has been controlled but putting it out completely will take another 12 hours.
