Title - North Central Railway's clean station drive

ALLAHABAD: The North Central Railway has taken steps to ensure a clean Allahabad railway junction.To control the ever increasing number of mosquitoes and flies, NCR has installed many fly catchers at the various platforms of the junction and also spreading.

Under the plan, 59 fly catchers have been installed at all the ten platforms, station concourse and waiting rooms. On platform number 1 and the station concourse of the city side, 8 fly catchers have been put. In addition, insecticides are also being sprinkled at the platforms, waiting rooms, ticket booking area, circulating area and the garbage bin so that flies can be controlled and clean environment can be provide to the passengers.
Further, exhaust fans have been installed at various parts of the Allahabad railway junction including pay-and use toilets, men's waiting room, women waiting room and Passenger Reservation System area. The railway administration has also urged the passengers to lend helping hand in order to provide clean environment to the passenger at the station. They are requested to put the waster materials in the garbage bin and not spread it on the platforms. These steps are being taken under the directions of general manager of NCR Alok Johri and divisional railway manager of Allahabad division Harendra Rao.
