Title - Indian Government Is Keen To Promote Agra And Jaipur Tourism

The Government is keen to promote tourism in a big manner and ensure that more and more people can visit and enjoy various tourist destinations located across the country. These measures include starting a new Shatabdi train service between leading tourist cities of Agra and Jaipur. Besides this other things like clean toilets and providing information kiosks and opening souvenir shops at World Heritage sites will also be done. Another important thing will be to make it pretty easy to get tourist visas.
A meeting of inter-ministerial coordination committee was held on August 13 at the Prime Minister’s Office for the tourism sector. All the concerned ministries have stressed that they will work closely with each other for the overall development of the tourism sector in the country. It was pointed that this is pretty important for the employment generation and economic development of the country.
The decisions taken at the high profile meeting included starting the Agra-Jaipur Shatabdi from the coming month of November this year. The ministry of culture will also be developing   tourist facilitation and information centers and other amenities like souvenir shops and toilet facilities at the 19 World Heritage Sites. Various state governments and union territory administrations will also be a part of this process.
