Title - ECoR provides 1,33,773 additional berths

The East Coast Railways (ECoR) has provided 1, 33, 773 additional berths to clear the wait listed passengers during the first quarter of the current financial year from April 2012 to June 2012.

The ECoR has created additional berths by augmenting 1,011 additional coaches in different regular trains originating from its jurisdiction to different destinations of the country which provided 81, 485 additional berths. Similarly, this railway has run 55 special trains towards different destinations which have provided 52,288 additional berths to the commuters.

To provide comfort to the commuters and also to clear the huge wait lists of passengers during summer last, the ECoR had taken steps to augment additional coaches in different regular mail/express trains and also ran additional trains.
