Title - SCR to upgrade coaches

Hyderabad: In the next five years, South Central Railway (SCR) plans to replace existing coaches with improved Linke Holfmann Busch (LHB) coaches on its trains in a phased manner. Two trains were already equipped with modern coaches on Tuesday.
    Informing the media during a tour of the coaching maintenance depot, Secunderabad railway officials said that the LHB coaches are more comfortable and are longer compared to the existing ones. Thus, LHB coaches have more carrying capacity, they said. M Amarendra, chief rolling stock engineer, said that the LHB coaches are designed to operate at speeds higher than what existing ones are capable of and are equipped with improved safety features. TNN
