Title - Rains disrupt railway traffic between Nagpur and Wardha

Ballast under the tracks and a minor bridge were washed away completely along the stretch which received heavy rainfall yesterday, leading to cancellation of ten mail and passenger trains, CR sources said.

In view of heavy rains, railway traffic have been disrupted between Sindi and Tuljapur stations on the Nagpur-Wardha section of Central Railway.

Ballast under the tracks and a minor bridge were washed away completely along the stretch which received heavy rainfall yesterday, leading to cancellation of ten mail and passenger trains, CR sources said.

These trains are: Nagpur-Mumbai Nandigram Express, Amravati–Ajni Intercity Express, Nagpur–Amravati Passenger, Mumbai–Nagpur Duronto Express, Nagpur-Mumbai Duronto Express, Nagpur-Mumbai Sewagram Express, Nagpur-Pune Express, Mumbai-Nagpur Sewagram express, Mumbai-Nagpur Express and Pune– Nagpur Garibrath Express.

More than 300 workers are engaged in restoration work on a war footing, the sources said, adding that south and north bound super-fast trains were diverted via Itarsi, Khandwa and Bhusawal.
