Title - Madan meets Kharge , demands early expansion of Jammu Railway Station

Madan Lal Sharma met Railway Minister Mallikarjun Kharge, Chairman Railway Board & Traffic members.Sharma apprised the Railway Minister about the issues related to Railways in Jammu.

He demanded that the expansion work at Jammu Railway Station should be expedited and Tata Morie Express should have a stoppage at Vijaypur Station which is a popular demand of the people.

He also requested the early start of work of Rajouri-Poonch via Akhnoor Railway Link which has been approved as a National Project. Sharma also facilitated meeting between Railway Minister, Chairman Railway Board and Taxi Unions of Jammu Viz Railway Station, Airport and DaK Bunglow comprising of Ch. Devinder Singh, Inderjit Sharma, Joginder Singh and Gurdeep Singh. The taxi unions demanded that rates of parking should not be enhanced .

The MP also supported their demand and requested for no increase in parking rates. Sharma also demanded due parking place and other basic amenities for the Katra Railway Station. Railway Minister gave patient hearing and assured that the demands raised by the MP and Taxi Unions of Jammu will be looked into positively.
