LAUNCHING OF PSC GIRDER IN KORUKKUPET



The engineering department of Southern Railway will launch PSC precast girders in lieu of LC no.1 in Korukkupet area o­n 22nd & 23rd September, 2012 (Saturday & Sunday) under traffic block.



During preliminary arrangements, a lot of trespassing by people, especially school children, was observed.

                                The girders are very heavy and heavy duty cranes and other heavy machinery will be in use at the location.Hence, it is requested that residents in the vicinity of LC no.1 and other users of the area may exhibit caution and avoid using the road passing through that LC as a precautionary measure.



TEMPORARY STOPPAGE FOR ANANTHAPURI EXPRESS AT VEERANI ALOOR



In connection with ‘Bakrid’ festival, the following trains will be provided temporary stoppage for o­ne minute at Veerani Aloor in Nagercoil – Thiruvananthapuram section.



1.T.No.16723 Chennai Egmore – Thiruvananthapuram Ananthapuri Express leaving Chennai Egmore at 19.35 hrs. o­n 26.10.2012 will leave Veerani Aloor at 09.50 hrs. o­n 27.10.2012.

2.T.No.16724 Thiruvananthapuram - Chennai Egmore Ananthapuri Express leaving Thiruvananthapuram at 16.10 hrs. o­n 29.10.2012 will leave Veerani Aloor at 17.23 hrs. o­n 29.10.2012.

LINE BLOCK


Due to engineering work between Singaperumal Koil – Kattankulattur stations, following will be the pattern of train services on 22.9.2012 & 24.9.2012to 28.9.2012



1.T.No.40519 Tambaram – Chengalpattu EMU local scheduled to leave Tambaram at 08.40 hrs. will be partially cancelled between Kattangulathur and Singaperumal Koil.

2.T.No.40528 Chengalpattu - Tambaram EMU local scheduled to leave Chengalpattu at 09.40 hrs. will be partially cancelled betweenSingaperumal Koil and Kattangulathur.

3.T.No.40531 Tambaram – Chengalpattu EMU local scheduled to leave Tambaram at 12.50 hrs. will be partially cancelled between Kattangulathur and Singaperumal Koil.

4.T.No.40540 Chengalpattu - Tambaram EMU local scheduled to leave Chengalpattu at 13.50 hrs. will be partially cancelled betweenSingaperumal Koil and Kattangulathur.
