Title - Special Humsafar Express departs from Ludhiana on Tuesday

Humsafar Express finally arrived as special train at city railway station in Ludhiana. In its regular service this train will run from Sealdah every Monday and will depart at 01:10 PM in the afternoon and will arrive Jammu Tawi at 11:30 PM Tuesday night.

From Jammu Tawi this train will run every Wednesday and will depart at 07:25 AM. Sealdah arrival time is 05:45 PM Thursday evening. Although railway calls this train as semi luxury train for common man equipped with tea/coffee/milk vending machines, GPS, Fire announcement system, CCTV cameras etc. but feedback of passengers from other Humsafar trains had never been good.

The train was flagged off by Rajen Gohain, minister of state for railways at Jammu Tawi station on Tuesday. The luxury Humsafar Express is composed of 16 three-tier AC sleeper Coaches, an AC hot buffet car (Pantry) and two luggage brake and generator car.
As many as 171 passengers from the Ferozepur Division and 31 from Ludhiana boarded this train on Tuesday, said one of the officials.
