AHMEDABAD: Train services were affected for the second straight day after heavy rain in the state. On Tuesday, rail services were hit after water at the railway bridge between Palej and Miyam in Vadodara Division started flowing above the danger mark.

Officials said that traffic on Ahmedabad-Mumbai route was stopped later in the day. On Monday, following heavy rain in South Gujarat, trains were late by nearly three to four hours. Officials said long distance trains bound for northern, central and eastern parts of the country were diverted by alternative routes via Ratlam, and Bhopal.
