Title - RCF felicitates staffers for excellence

Kapurthala Rail Coach Factory has conferred awards on its 130 workers and 12 officers in recognition of their excellence in performance of duties. RCF general manager BN Rajshekhar distributed citations to such employees on the concluding day of 57th rail week on Friday.Addressing the gathering, he said that RCF had till date manufactured over 25,000 coaches and was meeting nearly 50%  demand for passenger coaches in India. It had become possible only due to the efforts of diligent employees and workers, he pointed out. "Specially-designed three-tier AC coaches, Garib Rath coaches and hybrid coaches used in Duronto trains were our achievements," he added.He exhorted workers to improve production quality standards to thrive amid competition. Several new technologies adopted by Indian Railways were the brainchild of RCF engineers. "We are also setting up new units to meet the demands of our global customers," he said.As many as 66 workers were given group awards on this occasion.
