Title - Railways may introduce fuel adjustment on passenger fares from October

NEW DELHI, MARCH 23:   The fuel adjustment component (FAC) on train passenger fares may be introduced in October this year, indicating passenger fares will go up or down along with diesel prices.

Railway Board Chairman Vinay Mittal said the issue would be reviewed in September-October.

The Rail Budget introduced FAC for freight services starting April 1.
