Title - New railway reservation counter opening today

A railway passenger reservation system counter will be inaugurated at Civil Station, Kudappanakunnu, here on Monday at 3 p m by Union Minister of State for Human Resource Development Shashi Tharoor.

Rakesh Misra, General Manager, Southern Railway, will preside over the function.  Rajesh Agrawal, Divisional Railway Manager, Thiruvananthapuram, and Sarala Balgopal, Chief commercial manager, Southern Railway, will also be present.  This is the 14th reservation counter being set up under the Thiruvananthapuram division outside railway premises.

There are also options for the MPs from the state to suggest one location in their constituency to start a reservation counter with the Railways providing the necessary technical support.

Thiruvananthapuram Railway division has already opened such counters at Kakkanad, Palai, Nedumkandam, Kodungallur, Attingal, Kanjirapalli, Secretariat, Muvattupuzha, Cherthala, Alappuzha, Nedumangad and Pathanapuram. Reservation counters are also there at Kumily and Munnar post offices.
