Title - WR opens 101th FOB at Lower Parel

WR has opened a new Foot Over Bridge at east side at Lower Parel station for the convenience of the commuters. It is 101th Foot Over Bridge/Subway o­n WR's suburban section.The new Foot Over Bridge is 6.05 meters wide and 42 meters in length. It connects PF No.1 & 2/3 from east side. Constructed at a cost of approx Rs.2.50 Cr, the work of this Foot Over Bridge was done during night without affecting the train movements as Lower Parel is o­ne of the busiest stations of suburban section. Launching of girders was also done during night hours with the help of road cranes. The construction of this Foot Over Bridge involved about 250 MT fabrication of steel.The construction of 16 Foot Over Bridges is in under progress o­n Western Railway suburban section. Commuters should not risk their lives by crossing railway tracks. They should always use FOB's/Subways which are convenient & safe.
