Train No. 12762 Karimnagar – Tirupati Weekly Superfast Express Flagged Off

Shri Ponnam Prabhakar, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Karimnagar flagged off the newly introduced Train No. 12762 Karimnagar-Tirupati Superfast Express Train at a grand function held at Karimnagar railway station today ie., 30th May 2013. Public in large number attended the inaugural function.

Speaking o­n the occasion, Shri Ponnam Prabhakar thanked the Railwaysfor introducing the Karimnagar-Tirupati Superfast Weekly Express that will be a boon to the public of Karimnagar district providing a convenient connectivity to the abode of Lord Venkateshwara, Tirupati. Besides the train will also help in connecting several important towns like Warangal, Mahbubabad, Khammam, Madhira, Vijayawada, Gudur etc he added.

Shri S.K. Mishra, Divisional Railway Manager, Secunderabad Division briefed o­n the priority accorded by the railways for meeting public aspirations of the region. He expressed confidence that the new train will meet optimal patronage from the people.

Shri Ramana Reddy, Additional Divisional Railway Manager, Secunderabad Division, Shri S. Ramesh Babu, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Secunderabad Division, Shri. Uma Shanker, Senior Divisional Signal and Telecommunications Engineer, Secunderabad Division were amongst the officials present o­n the occasion.

Train Schedule:-

On its regular run, Train No. 12762 Karimnagar-Tirupati Weekly Superfast Express will depart Karimnagar every Thursday at 19 15 hrs and arrive Tirupati at 08 05 hrs o­n the next day.In the return direction, Train No. 12761 Tirupati-Karimnagar Weekly Superfast Express will depart Tirupati every Wednesday at 22 40 hrs and arrive Karimnagar at 11 15 hrs o­n the next day

Enroute these trains will stop Peddapalli, Jammikunta, Warangal, Mahbubabad, Khammam, Madhira, Vijayawada, Gudur, Srikalahasti and Renigunta. These trains will comprise of o­ne AC II Tier, o­ne AC III Tier, eight Sleeper Class, six General Second Class and two Second Class Luggage cum Brake Van Coaches totaling to eighteen coaches.
