Shri Rakesh Misra taken over charge as General Manager, Southern Railway on 16th January 2013.
At the young age of 18 years, Shri Misra was selected by UPSC as a Special
Class Railway Apprentice through an All India competitive examination. After
completion of his training at Indian Railway Institute of Mechanical and Electrical
Engineering/Jamalpur, Shri Misra joined Central Railway in 1977.
