Title - Russia to make these 5 changes to increase Indian train speed to 200kmph

Indian national transporter singed a pact with Russian railways in order to increase its slowed down pace last year October. The collaboration with Russia is done for a 575km stretch from Nagpur to Secunderabad to which Russia has asked Indian Railways to make these 5 changes –

• New rakes that can sustain their composure at 200kmph
• Infrastructural changes on the route on which there are numerous bridges with speed restrictions. Russian railways as proposed several technological solutions to reach the desired speed limit on such structures.
• A different railroad switches must be installed that can help train to switch tracks at such speeds.
• A digital technological communication network for the entire section, instead of the existing radio communication, was also proposed.

• Overpasses, anti-collision, automatic alarm systems and anti-ram barriers are suggested in order to enhance safety.

This high speed project will be financed jointly and the cost will be split equally between the two countries.
