ALLAHABAD: Railways have geared up for the main bathing day of Mauni Amavasya during the ongoing Maha Kumbh. Streams of pilgrims have already started arriving at the Allahabad railway junction and other adjoining stations for taking dip at the holy Sangam on this auspicious occasion.Though the regular trains are jampacked with the passengers as there is no reservation available on these trains but vacancies exist in the special trains that are being plied during the Maha Kumbh. Various special trains are being plied in different directions from Allahabad railway junction. This includes special trains between Allahabad-New Delhi, Allahabad-Howrah, Allahabad-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT), Allahabad-Ahmedabad, Allahabad-Ajmer, Allahabad-Raipur, Allahabad-Vishakhapatnam, Allahabad-Hyderabad, Allahabad-Nanded and Allahabad-Indore.Talking to TOI, chief public relations officer of North Central Railway Sandeep Mathur informed that various special trains are being plied on the occasion of Maha Kumbh. Pilgrims should book their tickets in the special trains if they are not able to get reservation in the regular trains.Train number 04120/04119 will ply between Allahabad and Howrah. This train will depart from Allahabad at 8:15 pm on February 10 and 15 and reach Howrah next day at 4:15 pm. It will leave from Howrah at 8:20 pm on February 11 and 16 and arrive at Allahabad next day at 5:45 pm.

Train number 04122/04121 and train number 1005/1006 will ply between Allahabad and LTT (Mumbai). Former train will depart from Allahabad at 10:30 pm on January 10 and 15 and reach LTT at 00:20 am. During the return journey, the train will leave LTT at 1:20 pm on February 12,13 and 17 and arrive at Allahabad next day at 12:55 pm. Train number 1005/1006 will leave LTT on February 8,13 and 23 at about 1:20 pm and arrive at Allahabad next day at 12:55 pm. It will leave Allahabad at 10:35 am on February 9, 13 and 25 and reach LTT next day at 2:10 pm.

Numerous trains are being plied between Allahabad and New Delhi, Allahabad and Anand Vihar terminal and Allahabad and Delhi Sarai Rohilla. Train number 04117/04118 will ply between Allahabad and Anand Vihar terminal. This train will depart from Allahabad at 11:45 pm on February 10, 11,15,16,17 and 25 and arrive at Anand Vihar terminal next day at 9:45 am. This train will depart from Anand Vihar terminal on February 11,12,16,17 and 26 at 11:30 am and reach Allahabad at 10:15 pm. Meanwhile, train number 4001 will ply between Allahabad and New Delhi. This will leave Allahabad on February 8 at 3:15 pm and arrive at New Delhi at 11:00 pm.

Train number 4004/4003 will depart from Allahabad on February 9 at about 1:10 pm and reach New Delhi at 11:00 pm. Train number 04005 will depart from Allahabad on February 10 at about 3:15 pm and reach Delhi Sarai Rohilla at 11:40 pm. Train number 4007 will leave from Allahabad on February 11 at about 3:15 pm and reach New Delhi at 11:00 pm.

Train number 09429/09430 will ply between Allahabad and Vishakhapatnam. This train will depart from Allahabad on February 8, 12,15,19,22 and 26 at 1:45 pm and terminate at Vishakhapatnam at 1:45 pm. Train number 07091/07092 will ply between Allahabad and Hyderabad. This train will depart from Allahabad on February 10, 15 and 25 at about 5:45 pm and reach Hyderabad at about 9:30 pm. Mela specials have already started arriving at Allahabad railway junction on Friday. About two trains already reached Allahabad while two are on the way. Four trains have already arrived from North Eastern Railway while three are on the way. Further, four trains arrived from Northern Railway region.
