ALLAHABAD: Railways have geared up for the main bathing day of Mauni Amavasya during the ongoing Maha Kumbh. Streams of pilgrims have already started arriving at the Allahabad railway junction and other adjoining stations for taking dip at the holy Sangam on this auspicious occasion.Though the regular trains are jampacked with the passengers as there is no reservation available on these trains but vacancies exist in the special trains that are being plied during the Maha Kumbh. Various special trains are being plied in different directions from Allahabad railway junction. This includes special trains between Allahabad-New Delhi, Allahabad-Howrah, Allahabad-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT), Allahabad-Ahmedabad, Allahabad-Ajmer, Allahabad-Raipur, Allahabad-Vishakhapatnam, Allahabad-Hyderabad, Allahabad-Nanded and Allahabad-Indore.Talking to TOI, chief public relations officer of North Central Railway Sandeep Mathur informed that various special trains are being plied on the occasion of Maha Kumbh. Pilgrims should book their tickets in the special trains if they are not able to get reservation in the regular trains.Train number 04120/04119 will ply between Allahabad and Howrah. This train will depart from Allahabad at 8:15 pm on February 10 and 15 and reach Howrah next day at 4:15 pm. It will leave from Howrah at 8:20 pm on February 11 and 16 and arrive at Allahabad next day at 5:45 pm. | ||
