Title - Plea to divert trains

The district unit of Bharatiya Janata Party has demanded that Kacheguda - Madurai Weekly Express train should be operated through Salem – Namakkal – Karur sector instead of plying through Erode Junction. In a petition submitted to the Divisional Railway Manager Sujatha Jayaraj here on Thursday, BJP district general secretary R.P. Gopinath said that running of Chennai – Madurai Duronto Express train through the new route would not serve any purpose to passengers as it is a non-stop service. Hence the Kacheguda-Madurai-Kacheguda Weekly Express, Train No. 17615, 17616, should be diverted through the new route.
