Title - Palakkad division starts grievance redressal and staff contact programme, to extend it to Kozhikode,

MANGALORE: Palakkad railway division of Southern Railway has initiated grievance redressal and staff contact programme (GRASP), which is designed to redress grievances of railway staff of the division. The first phase of the programme was conducted in Palakkad railway division on Thursday. PiyushAgarwal, divisional railway manager heard grievance of railway staff working between Podanur and Shoranur junction.

The grievances were collected and heard in person. Piyush was joined by Mohan A Menon, additional divisional railway manager, N Govindan, senior divisional personnel officer and Mohammed Faisal, senior divisional finance manager. Concerned department officers also were present during the hearing of staff grievances. In all, 89 grievances were received, of which, 42 staff presented themselves in person for hearing.

A dozen grievances were disposed on the spot, while remaining grievances were replied appropriately. Subsequent phases of this programme will be held in due course at Kozhikode and Mangalore railway stations.
