Title - Level-crossing to be closed

The railway level crossing between Kovilpatti and Kumarapuram railway stations will be closed for construction of a road under-bridge in lieu of the level crossing with effect from June 3.An official statement from Southern Railway’s Madurai Division said the Tuticorin Collector had given his consent for the closure of the level crossing and diversion of the road traffic to Lakshmi Mill Gate with effect from June 3 in order to commence the construction work the bridge, the press release added.
