Title - Fog disrupts train services

Dense fog conditions disrupted train services of Eastern Railway for the third consecutive day on Friday.A number of trains were rescheduled and several long-distance trains delayed because of the think fog, according to the Eastern Railway.Keeping in view the safety of passengers, train drivers have been advised to regulate the speed depending on visibility conditions with instructions to limit the speed to 60 kilometres per hour.The drivers have also been advised by railway authorities to blow the train’s whistle frequently to warn those nearby of the approaching train.Experts of the Regional Meteorological Centre have issued an alert saying that thick fog is likely to remain for the next 24 hours in different parts of the State.
